Funny how we didnt see how our lives would turn out. I never wouldve met you if you hadnt slammed on your breaks to avoid that deer. We had a good laugh too, remember? Just kept crossing paths through the years. We found out we went to the same schools just never the same teachers.. we worked at the same places just at different shifts.. shopped the same stores but me at opening and you at closing.. we never exchanged numbers or anything it became a game of how we'd meet up next. We didnt plan the last time did we? My husband and your wife.. damn but of all the people in town they cheated on us with eachother. I remember knocking on your door looking for him and that dawning realization in your eyes. I tried to fake bravery and laugh but you ended up holding me as I slid to the floor sobbing and asking Why? Why? What did I do wrong?I think for a moment we both thought the same thing.. it shouldve been me and you married. We never wouldve cheated on eachother.. hell the whole world was shifting and pulling us together in the oddest ways. Still.. you hugged me and halfsmiled as I left with that same joke we shared all these years, "See ya soon!"Cuz we knew. We knew it was only a matter of time before we'd run into eachother again. Im hoping its soon. Ive got half a mind to drive straight over to your house right now and kiss you. Would you want me to though?
