I’m moving country in less than 10 days, I keep trying to make plans with my two best friends and one of them keeps giving lame excuses like “my parents won’t let me” but her parents are really chill and always let her out till really late hours so I don’t really believe her especially since she goes out with her boyfriend instead. My other friend keeps cancelling last minute or saying she “can’t be bothered to ask her parents”. I know I shouldn’t be upset but I just feel like they’re not putting in any effort in my last days here, it’s always like this, I always go above and beyond for them but it’s never reciprocated. I want to bring it up but I know it’s no use since I’m leaving. It just sucks and I don’t want to talk to anyone about it because it’s childish and it makes me feel annoying.

They have other things that they would like to focus their attention on and they feel like you should find a different support system. I think it’s okay for you to want to spend time with your friends before you leave home but don’t be surprised if they’re in different.
