I’m old; so maybe I’m wrong. I really like one of my roommates & her teen son. I have a child his age that already works to help pay her bills such as auto insurance. I’m not happy about it; but she graduates a yr & a half early & needs the car for college. Anyways. She kept talk about race & argue with co-workers. Hey; it’s a free land; but you shouldn’t discuss race; faith, or politics at work. So many highly qualified unemployed people wanted her job. I warned her to just be nice. She argued with managers. They lay her off. She slugs one of them. So I hear her on phone complain about only have $100 a week for food. I spend under $10 a week to eat. My ex & I spend under $150 a week on her & 2 kids. My other buys her own food. So my roommate on phone to her mom said everyone in house eats the $100 food she buys each week. I’ll try list it. I bought the mixed veg; corn, & eggs she keeps cooking. So I’ve been eat less of them. I only eat one serving of each every day normally. Now I’m skip every other day. Another roommate bought a $25 pizza 3 times this week. The other & her son ate every slice in one meal each time. How about split it up for 4 meals & eat some bread? The other roommate also bought in last 5 days a lot of bar BQ; burgers & fries; canned foods; & made a giant stew. They have eaten it all in under 4 days. Her $100 bought spaghetti; can foods; etc. She cooked it. It’s just set in fridge. She did buy some meat; they ate that up fast too. So the sides. Including my veg. She will cook a lot. They eat on meal of it. Then throw rest out. Why not cook less at a time or eat leftovers? I make a pot of rice last 10 days. The one bag of veg 7. I eat every bite. I eat a lot of cheap crackers & bread. Same for all the meat; fries & stuff. They eat one big meal. The rest sets in the fridge then goes in trash after a few days. The other roommate who bought it lets her husband eat some leftovers if he wants. But he mainly likes fresh cooked he bought or takeout he bought I obvi don’t eat any of it. When she uses my food she adds a lot of salt & potassium. I don’t eat that. In one day I watched her son eat 6 meals. He loads his plate. Then throws over half away. He refuses to eat leftovers or cheap food such as cereal, noodles, bread, a canned soup. He insists on fresh cooked/bought expensive stuff. I was only here after 7pm yester. Before I left he ate bacon; sausage; my eggs. Who knows what while I was gone. He mainly sleeps & eats by day. Then plays online & eats a lot by night. So they always wake me cooking & laughing by my door at night. From 7 pm till 4 am he ate half a pizza; pizza bites; roast beef; bar BQ; burgers & fries. What’s wild. She cooks food everyday. She uses hamburger; my frozen veg; fresh veg; can chicken; seasonings. Spaghetti; noodles; & sauces. She will fill fridge with all this stuff. She eats a little. He refuses to eat any. No one else eats any. Over 90% of it all ends up in trash. He will throw out over half of the meat & stuff on his plate. He does home school at night. But he (& she) never flushes camode; take out trash; or clean. In fact he just throws his clothes & leaves his dishes all over his room. They get endless ants from the spilled soda; left out food; dropped candy. Then the ants gets into everyone else’s rooms. Her son is sweet; but he’s spoiled. He’s very healthy & normal. All of my kids eat cheap; eat every bite; cook; clean; wash; help fix stuff; take out trash; do volunteer work at Church. In 2 yrs he will be an adult. Shouldn’t he learn to at least flush a toilet & pick up his clothes by then? Well; non of my business, but so odd.
