I had nothing in the end,
I once knew a mothers love, a certain feeling when you smell the frosted air.
Dreaming, only to find yourself engulfed in a reality that was chosen for you.
Crying, till the tears made my face soggy, and throat numb.
Fighting, till my arms felt weightless and my breathing was sharp as a kitchen knife.
And trying, trying to prove that I was worth a kiss goodnight.
In the end, everything slowly pieced together, that this world is not real. And,
I had nothing in the end.
