Reflection is, well... complicated

Reflection is something I see every day, whether in a mirror or a reflective surface. Well, you get the idea. Reflection is like a shadow, but more... featured. Reflection is supposed to be what other people see you as, which I suppose is right, but some people want change. They want their reflection to be more skinny, or more fat, or more tall, or small, or even more handsome or beautiful. But, reflection is still us, even if it’s not what we want it to be. Reflection is an echo, a ghost of our true selves, presented for our eyes to ravish and assess for weaknesses in our own bodies, and I confess I’ve done this before myself. But over time, reflection can become like some old friend, by your side whenever you need it to be there, and we can feel progressively less judgemental and less flawed, more comfortable with our own bodies and who we are. For some, reflection is always something to judge, but for some lucky others, reflection is always that old friend. But, in the end, none of this really matters, because...
