I’ve talked to people who say sec officials are dirty. They say they intentionally caused Arkansas to lose in order to help the better Auburn team not get a bad lose. Well. I watched the replays. It’s obvious the QB fumbles the snap. He gets confused & nervous. He doesn’t have control of the fumble but wishes to spike the ball. To do that he must have control of the ball. Step back. Throw ball forward into ground. He never has control; faces wrong way, tries to throw ball down. I played football. Lots of relatives who played college ball. If a QB throws ball backwards; such as a lateral to a back; it’s a live ball. You drop it; opponents pick it up, it’s a fumble. That’s why some QBs drop back & throw a ball slightly forward instead. If it’s dropped it’s just an incomplete pass. I love to chat with football fans. I have some old big games on tape. You can look up stuff online. I love the SEC. Lots of talent. Great coaches. Passion. They love college football. So I looked up Auburn. They have a party called wreck tech. They once greased train tracks trying to wreck a train so Georgia tech couldn’t play. The team arrived so tired they lost. Auburn students still dress up in pajamas to celebrate cheating to win. How great is that. I love college football. In West Virginia they burn couches to celebrate wins. I record & watch college football all week long. From all over nation. I especially like big games; games with a lot of nfl talent, & close games. So I’ll try to be fair. Officiating. When you are a group of five playing a power five; if you may win the game, the officials will often help the conference team. They are paid by the conference. I doubt anyone tells them too. They just know who butters their bread. So yes; sec officials would help Florida beat UCF. I’ve seen most conferences do that. The ACC is the worst. They will blatantly help their better conference teams beat any non-conference team. If you schedule an ACC opponent; it’s you vs that team & the officials. They also blatantly help their best teams win games against the lesser teams. I’ve seen the most ridiculous stuff. Clemson running 3 yards out of bounds for touchdowns. Miami being stopped 5 times & committing 10 penalties on one play but still being given the winning TD. I watch the ACC less often because I know upsets won’t happen very often. Not big upsets. The officials won’t let it happen. So IMO the ACC has the dirtiest officials. The Big 10 occasionally seems to favor the better or conference teams in calls. But for the most part it’s fair officiating. Small schools can go into Michigan or Nebraska & beat them. Yes; there’s a questionable call or two. But nothing blatant. The Big 12. Same thing. Few questionable calls. But mostly you can upset teams in their houses without the officials blatantly cheating like they do in the ACC. I have noticed this. Big 12 officials seem to favor any offense over any defense to a large degree. Looks like the NFL. Defender farts on a receiver & he drops the pass it’s interference. But they do it equally for all teams. Their best teams get upset. Group of 5 teams upset them. The officials just seem to help all O’s get more yards & points. So what. Let’s face it. We the public have forced so many changes to help passing & mobile QBs that it’s basketball on grass. We want to see endless long runs & longer passes. Pinball scores. If no ones open we want the QB to run & not get hurt. So Big 12 refs are giving us what we want. Helping all O’s best all D’s. It’s a circus but it’s fair. PAC 12. It’s like group of 5 games. I watch them but rarely disect them. They aren’t big games. At best Oregon would be a 7-5 team in the SEC. They’d also endure 4-8 years. Yet the Barbie Donald’s are the best program out there. They have a closet full of feminine looking outfits to wear. Their mascot is Donald Duck. SEC officials. Yes; they will make a few calls to help an undefeated team not lose to a 4 loss team. Or a good conference team not lose to a group of 5 team. But they will let a team from another power 5 conference school beat theirs. Here’s the weird thing I’ve noticed. Let’s say one of their teams wins a national title one year. The next year that same team is ranked in the top 5 & trying to make the playoffs again. They play another conference team who may make the playoffs if they win this game. The officials will either make a couple of blatant bad calls to help the other good team beat the defending champ; or they will “not” make calls to help that happen. So I get that Arkansas fans are upset that the opposing QB obvi fumbled & it wasn’t called. Well; you got shafted. The officials like those big paychecks. The conference will make excuses. The record books still say Arkansas lost. I laughed. A Razorback fan claims an opposing school once trapped their coaches in an elevator so they could change the game plan in a longer halftime. That’s funny. Not sure if that’s true. I do remember watching one of their games a few years ago. Both teams hoped to reach the BCS or playoffs. One team had like 8 guys illegally downfield like it was a run play. The QB went beyond the line of scrimmage & then threw the ball to a wide open receiver for a touchdown. Tied the game. I don’t think the refs cared who won. They wanted a close game. But it was so funny. I used to play football. Your coached if O linemen are down field blocking; or the QB is past the line of scrimmage, then it’s a run play. You drop coverage & stop the run. The SEC officials acted like none of them understood football. They couldn’t see the O line & backs 15 & 20 yards downfield blocking. Or the QB throwing past the line on scrimmage. It was a clown show. As I said; it’s a circus. I liked going to the circus. Life is about fun. If you love one team or are on that team it’s annoying. If your just watching for fun then laugh about it. SEC officials seem to also help the home team win when it’s two highly ranked teams. Here’s how I see it. Texas owns the Big 12; Oklahoma is their lesser dancing partner. No one is going to turn them in for illegal recruiting. Texas calls the shots. They put up with it because without Texas the big 12 is a group of 5 conference. Texas gets all those other small schools street cred & big pay days. In the Pac 12 it’s USC & Oregon. But the conference is basically a group of 5 in talent. Too many pro sports. People don’t care about college football that much. In the ACC 3 teams get favored massively by the most crooked officiating in the sport. Miami; FSU, & Clemson. The Big 10 has three large brands; Ohio State; Michigan, & Penn State. With PSU being a lesser like OK is to TX. But the officials don’t just hand wins to Oh St like the ACC does for Clemson (hey; I love watching Clemson in big games. Great coaches. Great players. But I’m trying be honest). In the SEC they are different. Everyone of their teams has a large fanatic fan base. They all spend a ton of money on facilities & coaching. 80% of the best HC’s are all in one conference, the SEC. It’s insane. They don’t care about pro sports. Or other sports. It’s all cfb. So they need the success to be spread around. The officials will actually try to help another good team beat their defending national champion. They want to send someone else to the playoffs. That may sound crazy to the ACC. They want to help Clemson beat an undefeated or one loss Virginia. That’s because the Cavaliers have no national street cred; & would probably lose in the playoffs. But in the sec everyone has a large fan base donating massive money. Everyone has a lot of future NFL players. Everyone has a highly paid great head coach. Everyone has a large highly paid coaching staff. The officials will help the upstart beat last years champ because its best for the conference to spread the wealth of success around. Sounds crazy but think on this. Before the BCS people voted for champs. We would often have two champs. Long ago we’d have 4-5 champs before national radio & papers got big. That’s fine. They didn’t settle it on the field so let them all claim a title. Sure; you had rich schools like Notre Dame & USC being gifted undeserved titles. That’s why it’s great we got the BCS. We forced number one to play number two. We usually know who the best 2-3 teams are by years end. Sure; anyone could be upset. But we finally forced the top two to settle it on the field. It was funny. The PAC 12 knew they were really a group of 5 living on past glory. They refused to join. The media hated having their power taken. They tried to gift USC one last unearned title. We all laughed & mocked USC & the media. So the pac 12 joined the BCS the next year. They have not won a title since. Neither has Notre Dame. We have proved what most of us knew all along. Those past Irish & Trojan teams were not the best. I’m not knocking them; I love their histories. But we want to see the real champ crowned. No more split titles. So why do SEC officials help say Georgia best defending champ LSU (no. That didn’t happen. LSU sucs this year). Because it’s best for their Uber competitive conference to send different teams to the playoffs. The sec is like a conference full of Texas’s & Ohio States. To equal the sec you would have to put Ohio State; Michigan; Penn State; Nebraska; Oklahoma; Texas; USC; Oregon; Clemson; Notre Dame; Miami, & FSU all in one conference. Then you’d have sec northwest. Hey; that would be fun. Let the champ from each play in a college super bowl. Won’t happen. Texas is afraid to play in a big conference it doesn’t own. Kansas wants to keep getting paid. They don’t want to be a group of 5. Think I’m wrong. Let’s list programs that have won at least one BCS or playoffs title from each conference. I’ll try to list multiple titles if I can remember. Realize I’m old & May leave some out. Independents: none. PAC 12: none. Big 12: Texas. Big 10: Ohio State(2). ACC: Clemson(2); FSU. SEC: Tennessee; Florida(2); LSU(2); Auburn, Alabama(5). As we see none for Irish or USC. Proves voters used to gift them titles. As you see Texas & Ohio St owns their conferences. But I could see Michigan or Oklahoma eventually winning one. The ACC is a little more powerful. Granted FSU & Miami are crap last few years. But look at the SEC. So many titles shared by so many teams. Do you see why the refs would help say Florida; beat defending champ LSU; if both were playoff contenders? It helps keep the donations & $ flowing into all the schools. Don’t fool yourself; Texas A&M & Georgia are just as capable of winning a title in the future as Notre Dame & Texas are. Ole Miss; Miss State; & Arkansas have just as much support & potential as the Oregon Barbie Donald’s. Granted; they’d have to beat a lot of great teams to win that conference & make the playoffs. Oregon just needs to beat Washington & UCLA. Not the same as having to beat LSU; Georgia; Alabama, & Florida. So yes Arkansas; the officials cheated you out of a win. But I’ll tell you what a coach told me once. I was the star player on a bad team. We were playing a big team. Both of us undefeated. We were in their house. The refs were cheating for them big time. My coach said I had to beat them & the refs. Said if they never stopped us we’d win. So instead of just breaking off one run touchdowns I slowed it down. I started stringing together time consuming drives. But no third downs. I accidentally ran right over refs. We won by multiple TD’s. If you are the defending sec champ; & playing another contender; you need to win by 2-3 TD’s. Otherwise; if you let them keep it close, the refs will steal it from you. For the rest of us it helps make cfb great. Complaining about how bad refs & crooked voters cheated your team in the past is part of what makes the sport great. Think of Nebraska. When I was younger they & Oklahoma would spend a season running up the score on bad teams. In a bowl we’d finally see them play someone good. It was awesome. But Nebraska joined the Big 10 for $. Now we see what they would have been in the past had they played a more challenging schedule every year. Yet they still sell out the stadium. I love it. We see the real Notre Dame. No titles since the BCS began; but good solid teams. Their fans still love them. I still watch them. USC. Yeah; they stink no doubt. But they are a pro sport area. They have all sorts of pro sports around there. People just don’t care about the Trojans. There’s more passion for the Barbie Donald’s. See why Texas doesn’t join another conference? They don’t want to be USC; Nebraska, or Arkansas. Go Army. Beat Navy. Boiler Up Tyler Trent. Boiler Up.
